  • Matt is a very experienced economics teacher who has taken the time to examine the new syllabus in minute detail to explain what's changed and how best to approach teaching it. He has developed interactive AI tools to provide a resource to teachers of effective teaching strategies to cover syllabus dot points. Would highly recommend.

  • The best aspect of this course was how effectively it supported planning for the new NSW Economics syllabus. As a busy Economics teacher, the course broke down the new content and outcomes into clear, manageable sections and provided practical guidance on programming, assessment design and lesson sequencing. The teaching strategies made it much easier to transition to the new syllabus with confidence. It saved a significant amount of preparation time and ensured that teaching programs and classroom materials were aligned to the new requirements from the outset.

  • Insightful analysis of the changes to the syllabus that will streamline teacher preparation for the course.

  • Today’s professional development session was one of the most valuable experiences I’ve had in a long time. As teachers, our schedules are so busy that we rarely have the time or headspace to deeply engage with and unpack a new syllabus, let alone compare it meaningfully with the previous one.
Matthew’s step-by-step unpacking of the new Economics syllabus was incredibly beneficial. His clear, line-by-line approach provided exactly the clarity and direction I needed, giving me a strong starting point for planning and developing the resources required to effectively implement the new syllabus next year.
In addition, the opportunity to connect with other passionate and knowledgeable Economics teachers was extremely valuable. Building these connections will be instrumental for future collaboration, sharing ideas, and co-planning, which will ultimately enhance both our teaching practice and student outcomes.

  • Good overview of new syllabus, what's new and what's gone.

  • The preparation in unpacking the new syllabus, while integrating technology is invaluable for busy teachers, who have to contend with teaching the 2009 syllabus, while thinking strategically about the 2027 implementation of the new syllabus.

  • Very thorough, well-researched, and presented. A lot of really relevant information was provided to start preparing for the new course coming in 2027.

  • This course presented key changes to the syllabus in a clear, concise and helpful manner. The presenter had deep knowledge and was an articulate presenter whicy helped with the delivery.

  • It provided a fantastic overview of the old and new syllabus and how to best use the resources to make the content engaging for students. There was a many ideas provided, which will help inspire the creation of teaching and learning resources for the new syllabus.

  • Very detailed study and discussion of the new syllabus

  • To the point. Efficient and comprehensive professional development. Providing insights, ideas and truthful critique.

  • A great PD that covered the new syllabus in excellent detail, with strong comparisons made between old and new content/syllabus structures. A solid PD for both experienced and new teachers of economics.

  • This course enabled teachers to engage  with the new syllabus material. Matthew examined the syllabus changes thoroughly which greatly assists with programming and teaching

  • Providing clarity in the new structure of the syllabus with the main syllabus, teaching advice and examples.

  • Clear overview of what is "in" and what is "out" to save me time in doing my own analysis.
