Financial Basics
Financial statements can be difficult to read. The aim of this case study style book is to build simple balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements step by step based on a new pizza store. Along the way, the book covers break-even analysis, budgeting, financing options and monitoring – as well as a few ratios! The book concludes with a complete “do-it-yourself ” case study– where students can recap the major concepts.
The aim is to give students an excellent foundation knowledge of the fundamental components of financial statements and how they are compiled.
Students complete a series of questions at the end of each chapter. A second case study to assess understanding is provided in chapter 7 – Now You Do It! Teacher's Version also available
